Diversified has promoted Oakley Dyer to Chief Corporate Development Officer, reinforcing the company’s continued investment in disciplined, long-term growth as it expands its position as the largest family-owned B2B organizer in the industry.
Dyer joined Diversified in 2013 and has led the company’s strategy and corporate development function through more than 30 acquisitions, spanning both existing industries Diversified serves and new verticals. Under his leadership, the team has also supported dozens of new product launches, working closely with brand managers across Diversified’s divisions to identify and execute on growth opportunities that align with the company’s strategy and culture.
Diversified’s approach stands apart in a market increasingly shaped by private equity backed organizers. Where many competitors pursue rapid, returns-driven acquisition cycles, Diversified has built its reputation on a patient, relationship-first approach that prioritizes the long-term health of the brands it acquires and the people who join through those acquisitions.
“It is a pleasure to recognize Oakley with this well-deserved promotion,” said Ted Wirth, Chief Executive Officer at Diversified. “He and his team leave no stone unturned when evaluating opportunities for Diversified. Just as important, Oakley has helped us build a reputation across the industry as a place that creates a good home for the businesses and people who join us.”
“What sets us apart from private equity backed organizers is patience,” said Dyer. “We’re focused on the long-term success of the products and people who join us, not a short-term exit. As a family-owned business, we intend to stay that way, and we’ll keep pursuing acquisitions that fit both our strategy and our values.”
In his new role, Dyer will continue to lead Diversified’s strategy and corporate development team.
