Geo Week 2026 wrapped up in Denver with record-breaking results, drawing over 3,500 professionals and 238 exhibitors representing 25 countries to the Colorado Convention Center, February 16–18.
Keynote highlights included Dr. Lilian Pintea of the Jane Goodall Institute, who opened the event exploring how drones, lidar, and satellite imagery are transforming conservation and wildlife monitoring. Hexagon CTO Burkhard Boeckem delivered a visually striking session on how AI and digital twins are enabling autonomous infrastructure monitoring. Jack Dangermond, founder and president of Esri, was also on hand to receive the ASPRS Lifetime Achievement Award for his decades of contributions to GIS and the geospatial community.
Event partners ASPRS and Reality Capture Network (RCN) led dedicated programming tracks, while the U.S. Geological Survey announced the completion of their landmark 3D Elevation Program (3DEP) — the first-ever consistent, nationwide baseline of high-resolution topographic data for the U.S. and its territories. New this year, roundtable discussions, a Demo Zone, and a Women in Geospatial Meet-Up rounded out an expanded event experience.
Looking ahead, Geo Week will relocate to the Salt Palace in Salt Lake City, Utah for its 2027 edition, February 23–25. Visit geo-week.com for more information.
