The 2025 edition of Seafood Expo Asia opened in Singapore 10 September, with exhibitors from 42 countries, 28 regional and national pavilions, and companies in attendance representing the seafood, processing equipment, and service sectors.
“Today, we’re excited to welcome industry buyers from across Asia and suppliers from around the world,” Diversified Vice President of Seafood Wynter Courmont said in a release. “Seafood Expo Asia is a strategic platform for companies across the seafood supply chain to come together, spark innovation, unlock new business opportunities, and build strategic partnerships across the Asian market. The event’s tailored approach in connecting seafood professionals allows for more opportunities for collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and industry advancement.”
Taking place from 10 to 12 September at Sands Expo Convention Center in Singapore, Diversified’s 2025 event marks the 13th annual Seafood Expo Asia.
Leading Asian economist Manu Bhaskaran provided the keynote address, discussing global trends and their implications for regional growth, currencies, and investment strategies. Seafood Expo Asia attendees can also access the full educational conference program, with experts discussing timely topics such as sustainability, aquaculture, fish processing, shrimp market dynamics, aquafeeds, and consumer trends in the Asian market.
Other event highlights include the Oyster Challenge, a three-round competition where chefs will shuck oysters and creatively pair them with sauces, as well as the Seafood Excellence Asia awards competition, which will recognize the best new seafood products at the expo. Attendees can also peruse a range of worldwide seafood products ready for the Asian market in the product showcase, culinary tastings, and demonstrations.
Returning participating countries include Australia, Canada, Chile, Ecuador, France, Germany, Honduras, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Philippines, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States, Vietnam, and Yemen. Estonia and the United Arab Emirates are participating in the expo for the first time, while Estonia, South Korea, China, Saudi Arabia, and Taiwan will also have new regional/national pavilions.
