Diversified Forms New Corporate Sustainability Role and Fills with Internal Expert, Alexandra Failla

PORTLAND, Maine – Diversified Communications announced they established a Corporate Sustainability Manager position within the global company. Alexandra Failla, who was leading the ESG program for Diversified Communications USA’s clean energy portfolio, accepted the newly formed position and will transition to the Corporate Team, under the Corporate VP of HR, Janice Rogers. There she will work with the global division heads and their teams to implement a cohesive, company-wide sustainability strategy.

While Diversified’s event, digital, and publications teams have long been incorporating sustainable practices within their production processes and creating industry-specific sustainability content and resources for their audiences, this new role was formed to better cross-promote those efforts and to implement more sustainability and carbon reduction processes within the company’s overall business operations.

“After forming the global ESG committee and discussing the path forward for organizational sustainability, it became clear that we needed an in-house resource to spearhead and coordinate our efforts,” said Rogers, who leads Diversified’s Global ESG Committee. “We are thrilled to be able to learn from Alexandra and put her extensive skill set to work for the broader company.”

Failla earned a master’s degree in Sustainability Management from Columbia University in 2021. She has been working in the ESG space on the Smart Energy Decisions’ product team for the last four years where she developed a comprehensive sustainability framework and strategy that includes annual sustainability reports that are aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

“Diversified Communication’s direct involvement in the clean energy market, promotion of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and ethical corporate governance practices demonstrate the company’s commitment to ESG,” said Failla. “I look forward to developing our corporate sustainability strategy and bringing our initiatives to new heights throughout the global organization.”
