ASAP Releases 2026 State of the Profession Report

The American Society of Administrative Professionals (ASAP) has published its 2026 State of the Profession Report, the latest edition of the largest benchmarking survey ever produced for administrative professionals.

Now in its seventh year, the annual report draws on responses from administrative professionals, executives, and HR professionals across industries and career stages. This year’s edition, titled Career Progression Unlocked: Insights Into the Evolving Roles of Administrative Professionals, explores topics including AI adoption, access to professional development funding, the gap between executive expectations and admin skill development, and a notable decline in how valued admins feel in their roles.

The research gives administrative professionals a concrete, data-backed foundation to advocate for themselves at work, while helping organizations better understand the full value of this diverse and essential talent pool.
