Diversified Communications earned the honor of ranking forth in Maine’s “Best Places to Work” large employer category (Over 250 U.S. employees).
“It is an honor to be recognized as a “Best Place to Work in Maine” and know that our employees appreciate the investment in our culture, workplace environment and their health and wellness by our Board of Directors, Leadership and an exceptional HR Department.” said Diversified’s President & CEO, Ted Wirth.
The 2014 Best Places to Work in Maine program recognizes companies that have established and consistently fostered outstanding workplace environments. The program also helps companies that want to improve their scores. Diversified last participated in the “Best Places to Work in Maine” survey in 2007 ranking number 14. Diversified now employs close to 200 people in its downtown Portland office, growing its population by about 20% since 2007. To maintain its unique culture through that growth, the company implemented programs to improve employee engagement and invested in a complete office remodel including a two-story fitness center.
“As the company grows we continue to provide our employees with opportunities to innovate, be creative, learn, and develop new talents so they too can continue to grow,” said Janice Rogers, Corporate Vice President of Human Resources. “We also recognize that life isn’t just about work so we host celebratory events throughout the year and our policies and benefits are designed to support employees in their lives beyond the workplace. Together, we’ve become an amazing team that thrives on challenge, creativity and hard work and knows how to stay healthy and have fun along the way.”
