Diversified Celebrates Kosherfest’s 25th Anniversary

Diversified Communications celebrates the 25th edition of Kosherfest – the largest annual meeting place and product resource for the kosher trade industry – held last week in New Jersey at Meadowlands Exposition Center. Diversified has been producing Kosherfest and the KosherToday eNewsletter in partnership with the event’s founder Menachem Lubinsky since they acquired it in 2004.

Diversified Communications celebrates the 25th edition of Kosherfest – the largest annual meeting place and product resource for the kosher trade industry – held last week in New Jersey at Meadowlands Exposition Center. Diversified has been producing Kosherfest and the KosherToday eNewsletter in partnership with the event’s founder Menachem Lubinsky since they acquired it in 2004.

The event has grown from 69 exhibitors and 700 attendees in 1989 to a sold out exhibit hall featuring 275 exhibitors and welcoming more than 6,500 industry professionals to attend Kosherfest 2013. Growth is also evident in the international participation and the vast product mix that includes traditional, healthy and gourmet. Today, the Kosher market is worth $12.5 Billion and the number of Kosher Products in US Supermarkets has risen to 125,000.

The celebration before and during the event paid tribute to the evolution of the Kosher market place. Leading up to the 25th edition of Kosherfest, KosherToday chronicled people who helped propel Kosher, how Kosher Cookbooks defined the growth of Kosher and the significant changes to the product mix and Kashrus/Kosher standards.

At the event, Mr.Lubinsky led a panel discussion, Kosherfest at 25: An Industry Celebrates a Quarter Century of Growth and Prepares to Face a New Era of Challenges and Hope. The group shared how the Kosher industry adapted to changes in retail, technology, demographics and global competition, and became a big business and a mainstream food trend.

Following the event, and as the Kosherfest team returns to Diversified’s office in Portland Maine, the celebration is about and the significance of the event’s anniversary for the company and the teams that contribute to the event’s success year after year.
